This animation was created to help patients understand Parent-of-Origin Aware Genomic Analysis (POAga), a new way of studying genetics using a single blood sample. POAga is designed to improve how certain hereditary cancers are understood by identifying whether a genetic change was inherited from the mother or the father. This information is can be important for care and risk assessment.

By combining advanced genetic testing with information already present in DNA, POAga can provide this insight without needing samples from other family members. The goal of this project is to make complex genetic concepts clearer and more accessible for patients and families.
