BIONIC HEART

3D Modeling

PROJECT DETAILS

The challenge of this project was to create a cover art using a visual metaphor to communicate a key message about a scientific concept.

Organ failure is the leading cause of mortality all over the world despite advances in interventional, pharmacological, and surgical therapies. During the last decade, significant progress has been achieved in the development of various organ manufacturing technologies. An artificial organ is an engineered device that can be integrated into a human body to mimic their counterparts' structures, components and functions of the original organ. One class of artificial organs are mechanical, made of inanimate polymers and metals.

The idea behind this cover was inspired mainly by car commercials. My goal was to create a model that preserved the anatomical structures of a human heart and used a futuristic and elegant look to transmits the idea of top-level performance.
